New Volunteers

Volunteers are crucial to the success of the Nebraska SHIIP program. SHIIP volunteers gain tremendous satisfaction in knowing that they've made a difference for a senior citizen or someone with a disability. Volunteering is easy and volunteers can choose their level of involvement! New volunteers complete a two-day initial training and have a goal of counseling a minimum of twelve beneficiaries each year. Additionally, nurses and social workers can earn continuing education hours for completing the volunteer training.
